Barn-a-b's pre school website

Sam from Barn-a-b's pre-school, Barnstaple chose hdmproductions to create there there Pre-School website because of our great support and aftercare service we offer. Sam did not want to have a website that would never be update once it had be made, or have to pay vast sums of money for each change needed to the website or each page added. Therefor Sam found our Content Management System a great web deal, as they could update and add pages as the pre-school changed and new events where happening.

Barn-a-b's already had there giraffe logo designed, so a colour scheme and design had to be based around this logo. With this in mind I designed a yellow and brown themed website which placed their well known logo nice and bold within left section of there site. 

With their large amount of content & pages needed on the site we went for a long right hand-side navigation with four main quick navigation bar along the top, which leads to the four main elements of the website.

Barn-a-b's never had much pictorial content for the website, and did not want a website purely full of text, nor did they want to use stock images like a large number of website within the same field. We had agreed we wanted to create the atmosphere of the pre-school, and to give a real sense of what the parents would expect if they bought their child to the pre-school. On this note I set up a photo-shoot with the school (which ended up being three weeks delayed due to a postal strike making my CRB very late!) and we then used these photographs to break up the text of the web site and display the pre-school as it really is.

Andrew Leniec | Mixed Media Artist | Site Design

andrewleniec.co.uk - Another Flash based website for the up and coming Artist Andrew Leniec. Andrew is really finding his feet with his approach to recycled elements to his work. A new site is currently in progress for Andrew at andrewleniec.co.uk/artist which has the same content, but is switching from a Flash based site to a CMS site. The reason for the switch over is that Andrew has had a great deal of new work and exhibitions, and has plenty more up and coming, so his site will need to be up dated very regularly. With the site being up dated so much Andrew wanted a more hands on approach and to update the look and feel of the content himself. Therefore I suggested a Content Management System, where he could log in and edit his site content when and how he see's fit.
